Why have we lost the ability to disagree?

So often people mistake agreement with understanding. We’ve all been a part of a conversation that lasted longer then it should have because you didn’t agree with what was being said, so the person assumed you didn’t understand. Surely you’re confused because there is no way you wouldn’t agree with me if you understood what I am saying, seems to be the nature of most people these days. This is often when the frustration creeps in on one side or the other, then the yelling and anger begins to control the conversation.
Why have we lost the ability to disagree? Now if you don’t agree with someone’s religious beliefs, sexual preference or political views you’re a heathen, homophobic or sellout (the sellout mostly occurs to non democratic voting Black America) or just a HATER. In reality we are none of those things and clearly understand your point, we just have a difference of opinion and that’s okay.

Pastor What Page is That On?

As the child of a pastor I spent my fair share of time in church. Thankfully my parents were pretty fair with me having to go to Sunday school, morning service and a few special programs. The balance they created never made me dislike church or feel any resentment toward going to church. What I remember most about growing up in the church was the respect people had for the pastors and the way the pastors carried themselves respectfully as men and women of God.
So imagine my surprise when watching a video of a pastor saying “These hoes ain’t loyal.” This wasn’t a side conversation this was a pastor standing in front of his congregation making this comment during his sermon. I’m all for pastors finding ways to relate or connect with your audience but dude really!
But I’m not sure what baffled me more the fact that he said it or the fact the congregation reacted like fans after their team scored the winning touchdown. There has to be a certain level of prestige and reverence when it comes to the church, there shouldn’t be same atmosphere at the church and club. Yes the church has to relate to a younger audience but at what price? Next they’ll be reading from the book of “Get Rich or Die Trying”(Thats the name of the Rapper 50 cent album). We’ve lost church in schools, at sporting event, and in a lot of homes but we can’t lose church in church.

Black America are you offended by the word NIGGER or Not?

Here’s the confusion that Black America creates that makes them the laughing stock to the rest of the world. First we jump up in arms about Donald Sterling’s illegally recorded private comments about how the world view us. We label him a racist and demand that he sells his team! Which he did for 2 BILLION DOLLARS (please insert Dr. Evil’s voice from Austin Powers on that last sentence) about one and a half BILLION DOLLARS more than the team is worth. Then Justin Bieber is willingly video recorded on multiple occasions making nigger jokes, nigger songs and stating he’s joining the KKK, but there is little to no out cry from Black America. The two idiots Floyd Mayweather and Lil Wayne has actually come to his defense and they are just some of the black celebrities that has come to Bieber’s defense. How can the rest of the world take the Nigger issues serious when we clearly don’t take it serious!!!!! Black America are you offended by the word NIGGER or Not? I’m willing to concede the only blacks can say it rule, but not the old rich white men can’t but the young pop stars can rule, that’s just too confusing!
